Britton Summary
Britton resembles Britain, a sea country with rough rocks, sheep and rivers. People called Humpers tend sheep and live quietly. Lanik dwells there but only after a time interacts with people. It comes about this way. A Humper is herding his sheep into a valley and Lanik gently helps him get the sheep where he wants them to go. The shepherd's name is Glain, and his wife is called Vran. Lanik becomes part of the family, helping with the garden, and helping when Vran goes into labor, since Lanik is a healer from his learnings with the Schwartzes.
People hear of his healing and come from all over Britton for healing for their families and their livestock. Lanik becomes a legend. However, a lord called Barton wants to meet him. Barton lives in comfort while the Brittons live in near destitution. Barton guesses...
