Summary
At Hadia’s last dinner at home, Hadia asks if anyone has seen her watch. Rafiq accuses Amar of stealing it. Hadia tries to stop her father, but Amar remains silent as he feels he is watching his life from an outside perspective. He is terrified that he lost his pills and thinks he needs to get more from Simon. Amar sees his heart as stained by sin and thinks he cannot recover. When Hadia tells Amar that she took the pills, he is furious, but she says she is worried for him. Amar takes the pills to deal with the pain of losing Amira, Abbas, and the love of his parents.
