Naomie and Sybil's Apartment
In "No More Than a Bubble," the narrator Ben and his friend Curtis end up going home with two girls they meet at a single's party. While most of the story takes place at the house party, the girls' apartment represents the boys' pinnacle of desire. After chasing Naomie and Sybil, two evocative and passionate women, for the majority of the narrative, Ben and Curtis end up at their place by the end of the story. Their apartment, far out from the city in an area neither Ben nor Curtis have been before, resembles Ben and Curtis' fear of the unknown. Once inside the space, and after sleeping with the women, they are able to see one another clearly, as well as themselves.
