Summary
In "A Lucky Man," Lincoln Murray, a security guard at Tilden school for girls, tries to repair his relationship with his wife Alexis and his teenage daughter Tameka. The story follows Lincoln through a day. Before he goes to pick up Tameka from Penn Station, Lincoln rides the train to work. On the train he stands over a young woman he finds attractive. Already reading his texts, Lincoln uses his phone to slyly take two photos of the woman. One is blurry and in the other she is looking directly at the camera. At work, Lincoln's coworker, James teases Lincoln about Alexis. All the men at work think Alexis is beautiful and leer at her whenever she visits. Because Alexis has recently left Lincoln she has not to Tilden in some time. Lincoln tries to ignore James' comments but finally tells him...
