Summary
In Chapter 9, Lydia and Bristal meet Bailey at the park. She told the girls about how chaotic and terrible it had been to handle the 911-calls during that week. She accidentally mentioned that one of her neighbors used to beat her children, then begged Lydia not to use that in her podcast. Lydia agreed, but did not delete the recording. Instead of asking Bailey about the third missing person, Lydia instead asks if she can see the notebook that Bailey used to keep track of everyone during the week. Bailey agrees, and Bristal compliments Lydia on being so sneaky.
In Chapter 10, the girls go to Lydia’s house and Bristal reveals that she spoke to her cousin, Larry, who—along with his friend, Dale Childress—had found the body of their neighbor, Randall Boggs. He had been beaten and shot in the back...
