Summary

In Chapter 15, at the Lookout, Hawthorne and Horowitz learned that Helen had gone out for a walk at about 2 p.m. and had never returned. Her phone was in her room. Hawthorne asked Torode to make sure Helen had not left the island. In the meanwhile, Hawthorne checked Helen’s phone. He found a conversation in which Helen told someone she had seen them go into the Snuggery with Charles. She demanded to know what had happened. They agreed to meet at 2:30. Hawthorne told the others he knew Helen had been lying when she said she had not seen anything. Hawthorne also found texts to a man named Colin, whom Horowitz believed was Colin Matheson, that suggested they had an affair.
