Chapter 5-7 Summary

In chapter five, Ariel has finished telling her story and explains that John no longer thinks of himself as a Knight of the Word but that he cannot stop being a Knight of the Word because it is not his decision to quit. Since John no longer thinks of himself as Knight, he is in danger because he is not protecting himself from those that would want to bend his magic to the uses of the Void. Nest is thinking of John and the fact that she once that he was her father and then she discovered he was sent to kill her if he couldn't save her. Ariel says that the Lady won't let John serve the Void and that someone has been sent to ensure that doesn't happen. John has received several dreams warning him of what will happen...
