Morgan Leafy
Morgan Leafy is the main character/protagonist of the novel A Good Man in Africa by William Boyd. He is the First Secretary of the British High Commission and is a man who, as he approaches middle age realizes he has led a selfish life. He considers himself a misanthrope who is wasting his career in this less civilized region of Africa. He feels he could put his talents to better use in a more favorable posting, in a more prestigious world region. Morgan lets his wants and desires get the best of him.
