Part Two - Chapters 1-5 Summary

Chapter 1

As Part Two of the novel opens the reader finds the story told in flashback as it relates events prior to chapter One. Morgan thinks about his first meeting with Dr. Alex Murray. He visited the Doctor, after Lee Wan told him not to use condoms in his dalliances. He told Morgan to go and get oral contraceptives for Hazel from Dr. Murray. Morgan does, but Dr. Murray won't give oral contraceptives to him. He tells Morgan to use a sheath instead and lectures Morgan on being careful with his amorous escapades. Morgan leaves Dr. Murray's office outraged at this treatment. He then goes to the airport to pick up Arthur Fanshawe and his family.
