Part One - Chapter 3 Summary

Morgan Leafy arrives at the club barbecue. Morgan runs into Dr. Alex Murray, who has brought his son to the disco there. Morgan invites Dr. Murray to play a round of golf later in the week. He has to do this, as Sam Adekunle wants Leafy to get to know Dr. Murray better, for reasons yet unrevealed at this point in the novel. Morgan knows he has to satisfy the wants and desires of the blackmailing Adekunle. While at the barbecue, Morgan runs into Lee Wan, a Malay biochemist. He is the person responsible for introducing Morgan to brothels in Nkongsamba. Morgan then runs into Richard Dalmire, Denzil Jones, and Priscilla Fanshawe. While chatting, a steward delivers a note to Morgan. The note requests that he meet Sam Adekunle in the small bar of this same club...
