Summary

“Chapter 7” takes place on March 4, 1983. Despite her resolution that she did not want to see her mother, Kirabo woke up and decided to take a trip to see her in Jinja. She found her mother’s house, but was unsure of whether or not she wanted to go in. Suddenly, the garage opened and her mother drove out of the gate. She looked at Kirabo and recognized her, but she drove away. Kirabo walked away, but then her mother’s car started following her. Kirabo pretended not to notice her. She went home and flew again for the first time in years.
