Summary

In Chapter 37, Dianne tells Chloe and Aaron that her husband, Earl, is abusive. Her son, Daniel, used to try to fight him away, but he gave up trying when he was a teenager. Dianne says Daniel had a temper just like his father, and she always wondered if he had done something to his sister because he never acted concerned after she disappeared. Before they leave, Chloe and Aaron look through Daniel’s childhood room. Chloe finds his copy of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Inside, there are clippings of her father’s crimes.
