In my experience, being liked by a dog can cheer up just about anybody.

Importance: Molly says this as the narrator when she is with Clarity, Trent, and Rocky at Trent's car after CJ decides to adopt Molly knowing that she will have to hide Molly from her mother. CJ looks unhappy as she and Trent discuss the situation and Molly tries to cheer her up by licking her face. The quote shows how dogs give people unconditional love and that the receipt of this kind of love is important for human beings. It also shows how eager Molly is to carry out what she thinks her purpose is which is to help CJ. She will do whatever she thinks she can do to make CJ happy.
We were mostly by ourselves except for a woman with a small black dog named Get Back Here Milo.
