Chapter 16-20 Summary

In chapter sixteen, Mat goes to the Palace to talk to Nynaeve and Elayne but does not find them. A servant girl comes to fetch Mat because Queen Tylin wishes to speak with him. While with Tylin, Mat is able to write a message out to Nynaeve and Elayne telling them about following a Dark Friend to Carridin's house. He folds up the letter and seals it using the ring he just bought. It is only then that Mat realizes that the ring has the emblem of a fox with two birds in flight. As Mat finishes his letter, Tylin advances on Mat and begins to try and kiss him.
