Point of View
A Court of Wings and Ruin is written in first person from the perspective of Fayre, a young faerie who was recently changed from human to faerie and who is now the High Lady of the Night Court. She is only beginning to discover and control her faerie powers. There are two chapters that are written from Rhysand's perspective. The first chapter has nothing to do with the events of this novel except to explain that Rhysand, Cassian, and Azriel have been through war and a strong bond exists among the three warriors.
The second chapter from Rhysand's persepective is near the end of the novel. It allows Rhysand to wrap up the story line from his perspective before the novel reverts back to Fayre's perspective.
