Summary

Part Three is titled “High Lady.” In Chapter 51, they arrive at the Illyrian training camp. Devlon, the commander of the camp, had immediately identified Fayre as something “Other” (484) than a normal faerie. Now he asks outright if Nesta is a witch. Without giving Fayre a chance to respond, Nesta says she is a witch. Later, Nesta asks for the difference between a witch and faerie, and Morrigan says a witch seeks to “amass power beyond their natural reserve” (486), and that they use those powers selfishly.

In Chapter 52, the group arrives at Graysen's estate where there is a huge wall and fortifications they believe will help against faeries.
