Summary

In Chapter 37, through their bond, Fayre urges Rhysand to simply kill the King of Hybern in the hope it will stop the war. The king makes it clear he knows about Fayre's powers. Rhysand lashes out only to discover the king is a hologram. He says the battle was only meant as a precursor to the war and that he would certainly not put himself in this battle, then the hologram disappears. Rhysand destroys the entire ship and its soldiers.

In Chapter 38, the battle comes to an end with Hybern's soldiers defeated though at a terrible cost. Fayre vomits and Morrigan says each of them did the same after their first battle. They return to the palace where they find Rhysand with Tarquin, the High Lord of the Summer Court. Tarquin is furious. He is still angry because Fayre stole half...
