Summary

Part Two is titled “Cursebreaker.” In Chapter 11, Fayre and Lucien begin the long walk through the Autumn Court. At one point, Lucien asks Fayre to justify what she did to the Spring Court, and if she planned for Lucien to become one of the casualties of her plans. She hedges, saying he would be okay. He asks if she planned to kill Tamlin outright. She says she decided that having his court fall apart was a harsher punishment. Fayre barely sleeps for days, fearing Lucien. The Autumn Court is dangerous for them both. Lucien left under duress and his brothers hate him. Beron is the High Lord of the Autumn Court and will not protect Lucien.
