Summary
Tamlin takes Faye to the gallery where she is in awe of his massive collection. Using the paints and brushes he provided, she begins to paint. Later, she becomes upset when she thinks about her family and how they did not try to save her when Tamlin took her away. Tamlin tells her he wants her to be happy and that all of her questions will be answered soon. She goes on a walk and snares Tamlin with a trap she prepared for animals. He frees himself and reads her five poems inspired by her five words she had written in the library. When they return, he tells her about the idea of mating – a bond stronger than marriage in the faerie world. He also tells her that his father was a tyrant.
