Summary

Part Two is titled Blade. In Chapter 25, Nesta is obviously nervous while waiting for Gwyn the next morning. Gwyn arrives and Nesta knows this is the first time she has been outdoors in years. She “gawks” at the sky. Cassian assures her she can train in her robes, if that is what makes her comfortable. Gwyn is far more adept at balancing than Nesta had been. She tells Nesta she learned the benefits of exercise years earlier and signed up for the training because she wants to never again feel powerless. Nesta agrees. That afternoon, Nesta accompanies Cassian to the Illyrian village. She interrupts a tense meeting with Emerie and her cousin, Bellius, who is trying to force Emerie to hand the shop over to male relatives.
