Summary
A Court of Mist and Fury is the second novel of the series, The Court of Thorns and Roses by Sara J. Maas. This installment picks up a short time after Fayre sacrificed much to save the High Fae.
In Chapter 1, Fayre is throwing up after a nightmare, which is common for her at this point in her life. Her lover and the faerie High Lord to whom she is betrothed, Tamlin, is still asleep in the bed they share. He never wakes when this happens. She knows that he sometimes has nightmares of his own. Fayre has a tattoo on her arm, ending at an eye in the center of her palm. That tattoo symbolizes the bond she has with Rhysand, the High Lord of the Night Court. She hates Rhysand, though he “hadn't been exactly my enemy” (6) toward the end...
