Joffrey Baratheon
Joffrey Baratheon is the king of the Seven Kingdoms. Joffrey is the child of Cersei Lannister and Jaime Lannister, and is the sibling of Tommen and Myrcella. However, the realm believes them to be the children of Robert Baratheon, although the children were born of incest between Cersei and Jaime, who are twins. A letter sent by Stannis reveals this incest to the Seven Kingdoms, although some do not believe it. Joffrey is a boy of thirteen, so his mother, Cersei rules as Queen Regent, although most of the true power comes from the King's Hand. Joffrey's grandfather, Tywin, is supposed to hold the post, but he sends Tyrion instead.
Joffrey is cruel to those around him, especially Sansa Stark, his intended wife, and frequently has the Kingsguard knights beat her. At a tournament on his birthday, he wants to kill a drunk knight names Ser Dontos...
