Chapter 43, Davos Summary

Ser Davos Seaworth is now at Storm's End with Stannis Baratheon after delivering Stannis' message. They meet with Ser Cortnay during the siege. This is the first time Davos has seen Stannis since he arrived about a week ago. Davos is surprised at how old and worn Stannis looks, and Stannis has been having nightmares. Melisandre is the only one who has been able to help Stannis, and is closer to him than ever. Ser Cortnay won't acknowledge Stannis as king and tells Stannis he will not give up Edric Storm. He also offers to meet Stannis in single combat for Storm's End. Stannis refuses and talks with Davos on the way back to camp.
