Chapters 9-12 Summary
Chapter 9 - Helen is very excited and can't wait until the others fall asleep so that she can explore. She reads Jenny's history book and finds it interesting because she lived before some of this history existed. Once everyone is asleep, she goes downstairs to the kitchen, noticing how everything is wrapped perfectly and set in place. She doesn't recognize herself when she sees her reflection. As she wanders to the house, Helen notices that everything is extremely neat. At first she doesn't see any books. When she finds the study, she is happy to note that there is an entire wall of books arranged by category.
The next morning Helen has to take a shower, and she is not used to it. The experience scares her a bit. She compares the lives of children from her time with the children...
