Chapters 5-8 Summary

Chapter 5 - Helen gasps as she experiences a falling feeling. She has apparently been sleeping, and James rolled out of bed right through her. He looks startled. She is stunned. She doesn't understand how she could have fallen asleep that night when she hasn't slept since her death. James thinks maybe it's because she isn't alone any longer. She puts her hand on his shoulder, and he takes a sharp breath. She wonders if that hurts him, and he tells her that it feels wonderful. Helen questions why they can touch, and James suggests that it's because she isn't touching Billy, she is really touching him inside Billy.

Helen wonders about the ghosts that James has seen, and he tells her that there are two different kinds. Some ghosts know they are dead, and some ghosts don't know that they are...
