Summary
In "Jivan," Jivan reads about the terrorist train attacks at the Kolabagan Station on Facebook. She feels guilty for having been at the station the night before, watching the fires without knowing what to do. Jivan wishes she could boldly comment on the viral videos like other users. She shares a new video with a caption suggesting government involvement in the attack. When no one replies, she posts another comment calling the government a terrorist.
In "Lovely," Lovely, a hijra, or member of the transgender community, travels to acting class at Mr. Debnath's house. Lovely throws herself into her role. Her classmates are not as good. Mr. Debnath urges them to be more like Lovely. She and Mr. Debnath met a year ago. Though he was initially reluctant to work with a hijra, he let her join the group.
