Summary

This section begins the final part “The Consolation of Grief: September 2011 - February 2012” (613). This section includes three chapters: “‘True Subject,’” “Muskegee Falls, Ohio: September 2011,” and “Katechay Island: October 2011.” “‘True Subject’” is one page long, three sentences, “When you encounter your true subject, you will know it. The chapter “Muskegee Falls, Ohio” starts from Naomi’s third person perspective as she drives through Ohio farmland. She thinks about her father, how he drove this same route. She thinks about how he was attacked but she has no memory of it. That the whole family had been threatened. Naomi is there alone to film the place where her father had died.
