Chapter 16 Summary

Everyone goes to the funeral and they are watching all the attendees to see if they are able to pick up on any strange behaviors that would indicate suspicion. Everyone gives their condolences to Neil and his parents including Vincent and Jackie. Sharon and Lily see Neil and Sharon begins to give him her condolences until she sees Vincent and Jackie. Sharon seems shocked to see Jackie and Lily does too but when asked why they are so shocked they simply say that they didn't know that Jackie knew Stephano.

As they are looking around, Jackie discovers that Cassius is at the funeral. Her heart stops as she sees him. All the men around her are ready to protect her because they know about him. Marguerite reminds Jackie that she was only nineteen when this happened and she is older and immortal now...
