Generational Trauma

Grande highlights the various anxieties and complexes that come with generational trauma through her two protagonists, Riley and Ximena. The deaths of Riley’s father and brothers left him with a hero complex. Ximena’s father’s actions during the Texas Revolt make her ashamed of her past.
