Summary
Darcy returns home from a late bar shift to find Tom still working at his desk. She notices that he has been swimming, and he remembers how she taught him to swim when they were children. She shows him portraits of the bar patrons she has been taking recently, and he is impressed. Darcy tells Tom that winning the Rosburgh Prize was the worst thing for her career because winning with a photo of Jamie convinced her that she couldn’t do anything without him. Tom changes the subject to the topic of adventure given that Darcy plans to leave soon. He tells her that he wants to explore with her, but that he needs to talk to her first about something important.
