Summary

The story is set in Jotunheim, the home of the giants. The story begins with Odin talking to Samirah. Odin reminded Samirah about signs that heralded the beginning of Ragnarok. One such sign was the hatching of an egg belonging to a rooster named “Fialar” (69). Odin feared that the egg was about to hatch, so he tasked Samirah with going to Jotunheim and ensuring its stability. Samirah was disappointed because she had hoped Odin would ask her to fight the giants in Jotunheim.
