Summary
The first story, titled “Just Another Decapitated Head” (3), is written by Odin, the leader of the Norse gods. The story takes place in Asgard, the home of Norse gods. At the beginning of the story, Odin established his consistent role as the “ax” (3) in Asgard, meaning he was always in control. However, the events of this story portrayed Odin otherwise. Odin was informed of a food fight at one of the feast halls in “Hotel Valhalla” (3). Arriving at the food hall, Odin diffused the fight. Next, Odin walked with Hunding, the bellhop, and discussed the Valkyries. Odin decided that the he needed to nominate a new captain for them, so Odin went to his pavilion and ordered Hunding to bring the candidates to him.
