Summary
Chapter 6.3 returns to timeline number 3. While waiting to hear back from agents and publishers about his memoir, Ferguson focuses on reading, studying, and exploring Paris. Eventually, Ferguson receives a letter from a publisher called Io Books that wishes to publish his memoir. Ferguson is shocked and then ecstatic. Aubrey Hull, a man who works for Io Books, comes to Paris to discuss how to promote the book. Ferguson and Aubrey begin to flirt over dinner, and they go to Aubrey’s hotel room to have sex. However, as Aubrey is married and has children, Ferguson knows that no long-term relationship can develop. Rose and Gil come to visit Ferguson in Paris and to celebrate the good news about his book.
