Revenge

Joe Hickey is a criminal who finds it easier to steal the money he needs to survive than to go out and work for it. At one time, Hickey lived off the proceeds his wife made dancing in strip clubs, but his jealousy made it impossible for this to continue. Hickey then turned to the idea of kidnapping children in order to get enough money to live on for a year. Hickey's plan is foolproof. Someone stays with the child, the mother, and the father, leaving them no opportunity for escape or to call the police. The ransom is a relatively small amount to keep from raising alarm with the banks. In twenty-four hours, Joe can make enough money to live for a year this way and the child always makes it.
