Summary
Part V is titled “Resilience.” Chapter 19 is titled “Education,” and subtitled “Change is the Only Constant.” The author begins this chapter, and Part V, by drawing a comparison between the amount and variety of what students living and working in contemporary society know and the minimalist simplicity of what students living and working a thousand years ago knew. He also contrasts how little the former sort of student can know about the future with how much the latter sort of student could reasonably know. He then comments that while historically, people were taught information, in contemporary society people need to be taught what to do with information.
