Book 3, Red Beard: Chapters 81-95 Summary
In chapter 81, Lindsay gets a call from the cops in Cleveland who were able to find proof Jenks was in Cleveland the night of the murder. Cleveland wants to indict, so Lindsay has only twenty-four hours to find evidence strong enough to arrest Jenks herself. In chapter 82, Lindsay tells the Women's Murder Club about the novel and Cindy runs off with an idea. In chapter 83, Cindy goes to the San Francisco writer's guild and asks if Jenks has left a copy of Always a Bridesmaid there. Through some lies and deceit, Cindy learns it is there. In chapter 84, Cindy's discovery allows Jill and Lindsay to get a warrant for the book. In chapter 85, the four members of the Women's Murder Club split the book up and begin to read.
