Book 1, David and Melanie Brandt: Chapters 6-17 Summary
In chapter 6, Lindsay learns that the groom's father is a Wall Street businessman, perhaps suggesting motive for the murders. Lindsay also takes notice both of a bottle of champagne the killer possibly brought to the room and the groom's tuxedo jacket folded beside the body. Lindsay struggles with her emotions, leaving Jacobi to speak to the groom's family. In chapter 7, Phillip Campbell walks past the hotel, thrilled to see the excitement caused by the murders. In chapter 8, Cindy Thomas, a reporter for the Chronicle, arrives at the hotel to find out what is happening.
