Summary
In Chapter 16, Sadie made it clear to Jake that she would not put up with any secrets in their relationship after her divorce was final.
On the first day of 1962, Jake took one of the bugged lamps to the apartment at 2703 Mercedes Street. He knew it was in that apartment that Oswald would meet George de Mohrenschildt, the man whom Al suspected might have conspired with Oswald on killing the president.
Although others, including Mike and Ellen, had tried to talk Jake into directing the school play again, he refused until Deke talked him into it using reverse psychology. Jake agreed to put together a variety show if it could be a benefit show. He described his idea to Sadie and she agreed to help.
