New Chronicles of Rebecca contains additional stories about Rebecca, set during the same period as Rebecca of Sannybrook Farm and involving many of the same characters, but it never achieved the same popularity as Wiggin's first work about Rebecca.

Readers should note that the 1938 film Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, starring Shirley Temple, has no relationship to Wiggin's novel other than its title.
