The most obviously related title is of course Cross Creek Cookery (1942). Rawlings enjoyed cooking; this book is a collection of her recipes, with "cracker menus" and bits of philosophy. Additionally, nearly all of Rawlings's Florida writings have some connection with the people and country near Cross Creek; indeed some of the persons described in Cross Creek appear as fictitious characters in other works.
