A very interesting section in Jill May's book regarding children's literature and critical theory. In this section, Andi's War is discussed within the context of a classroom as a book of realism and is compared to Jill Paton Walsh's Fireweed. The novel is discussed in depth and there are excerpts of exam papers regarding this book that were written by undergraduate students.
