The oppressive Israeli military apparatus, largely responsible for the violence in Palestine, is heavily funded by the U.S. government and, consequently, by U.S. taxpayers. The amount of aid given to Israel is vastly out of proportion in comparison to other U.S. foreign-assistance endeavors and is actually in violation of American law, which stipulates that aid cannot be given to a nation that engages in a pattern of human rights violations.
