Christina Veladota earned her M.F.A. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Ph.D. from Ohio University, where she currently teaches writing courses and works as an editor for Quarter After Eight: A Journal of Prose and Commentary. Her poetry has appeared in several literary magazines, including The Journal, Mid-American Review, and Ascent. She is also the recipient of a 2003 Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist fellowship. This is her first publication with Lucent Books.
