Patrice Cassedy is the author of Understanding Flowers for Algernon (Lucent Books) and many articles for magazines. She has worked as a literary magazine editor and consumer credit attorney. Cassedy is married and has two children. She and her family enjoy oceanside walks and attending jazz and classical music concerts. Cassedy spent a year in Washington, D.C., where she visited museums and historical sites.
