About the author: The Sexuality Information and Education Council of the U.S. (SIECUS) is an organization that promotes comprehensive education about sexuality and advocates the right of individuals to make responsible sexual choices. SIECUS provides the guidelines for sex education for kindergarten through twelfth grade and publishes the report, “Facing Facts: Sexual Health for America’s Adolescents.”
