Hayley R. Mitchell holds a master of fine arts degree in poetry from the University of Washington and a master's degree in literature from California State University, Long Beach. Her award-winning poetry has been published in numerous literary journals throughout the United States, and she edits and publishes the small press poetry magazine Sheila-Na- Gig. She currently teaches composition and creative writing at various universities and community colleges in southern California.
