Action on Smoking and Health promotes the rights of nonsmokers and works to protect them from the harms of smoking. ASH was responsible for getting cigarette commercials removed from radio and TV; smoking banned on airplanes, buses, and in many public places; and for getting the FDA to regulate cigarette advertising and sales. The organization publishes the bimonthly newsletter ASH Smoking and Health Review and fact sheets on a variety of topics, including teen smoking.
