The AFT is one of the largest organizations of teachers and other educational employees in the United States. Its objectives include promoting professionalism in teaching, improving working conditions, wages, and job security for members, and ensuring equal-education opportunities for all Americans. AFT publishes a quarterly magazine, American Educator.
