Several scientists have posited that cloning technology could one day be used to grow headless humans in the laboratory. These creatures, they argue, would lack sentience and therefore be ideal sources for organs. This idea of creating human mutants to serve as organ donors is abhorrent and shows how cloning technology might be abused. Human cloning should be banned, and the deliberate creation of headless humans should be made a crime.
