Every year hundreds of mysterious monster sightings occur around the world. Here is a small sampling of the strange creatures reported recently: In January 2002 huge black creatures, seven feet long and three feet wide, were repeatedly sighted in the Tikis River in the Philippines; in September 2002 huge maned cats, estimated to weigh between six hundred and eight hundred pounds, were reported in Arkansas and Tennessee; in April 2003 a bizarre catlike animal was caught exsanguinating (draining the blood of) chickens in Argentina; in May 2003 a half—man, half—horse creature was said to be terrorizing the people of Maru, Nigeria; also in May, a Vermont woman reportedly saw Memphre, a creature similar to a plesiosaur that supposedly lives in Lake Memphremagog, located near Newport City, Vermont.
